Ever considered...

Have you ever considered signing up with Stampin' Up?

I love my job!  I get to make cards and be creative all day.  It truly doesn't feel like a job.  Right now is a great time to sign up with Stampin' Up!  You will receive the materials to make this great project as well as your fully customizable kit.  When I signed up, I had most of the items that automatically came in my kit.  However, Stampin' Up is truly awesome and I was able to replace the items I already owned.

Whether you are looking for to own your own full-time, or part-time business, or maybe you are just a hobby demonstrator, now is great time to sign up.

Congratulations

Two of my friends are getting married with in the next year and when I saw this set I knew it would be perfect for cards for them!  I also think it is perfect for bridal shower invitations.

I kept this card rather simple, as is my style, though I still feel that it needs something.  I'll update this post if I figure it out!

Can't wait!

I've recently decided to take my hobby into a business and this had me looking at my stamp sets.  I realized that I would need to use mostly current sets, so I got out my new catalog and looked to see what sets are still available.  To my shock, I had only 8 stamp sets that are current!

Well you know what that means...time to place an order!  This lovely box will arrive at my door today and I'm super excited to get my new sets and start playing!  Stay tuned!

Hi!

Here is a sneak peek of my July class, and for the first time, I'm going to offer it to my blog readers.  This month, I am focused on the stamp set, Pretty Postage.

In your packet, I will include all papers pre-punched* and textured, as well as an instruction sheet.  The instruction sheet will include a picture of the final card, a list of all materials used, and step by step instructions.  You will need adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, and ink.  *I am unable to pre-punch items that need to be stamped first.  I will include alternate instructions if you don't own the punch I use.

There are 3 options to choose from:
1 - Class with Pretty Postage Stamp Set Wood     $27.00
2 - Class with Pretty Postage Stamp Set Clear      $25.00
               3 - Class only                                                  $15.00

There will be a $5.00 shipping charge and I only have 4 spots available, so sign up soon.  The class will be available to purchase until July 9th (or until all spots are filled) and will ship on July 19th.

I learned this technique from Dawn Olchefske.  She has a great video tutorial on her website here.  I love her work and get a lot of inspiration from her!

Thank You Card

Hello!

I know, I know.  Long time, no posts.  I've been crazy busy with my role on the PTA board, and then my muse just up and left me!  I just couldn't think of a card design for the life of me.  I finally sat down and just made myself make a card, any card.  This was the first card of 8!  I will be showing you those in the next few days.  I hope you enjoy!

Masculine Birthday Card

This is a card I made for my dad's birthday.  While it was a time consuming card to make, it turned out even better than I had planned.  The DSP is Well Worn from the current catalog.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Oops!

I make mistakes.  We all do, right?  The first time I stamped the doily for the card I made yesterday, I didn't get it pressed down very well, especially in the center of the stamp.  When I do that, I usually just turn the cardstock over, and try again, but the Melon Mambo is too dark and you could see the goof on the back.  I've seen a few cards with the scallop punch in the center and so I decided to try that.  Perfection!  It covered up the goof, saved a perfectly good piece of cardstock, and I ended up with another pretty card.  Yea!

Girly Birthday Card

I love everything girly and of course pink is my favorite color.  This is another super simple card.  All you need is the Hello, Doily background stamp, a rhinestone, and a sentiment, then pick your colors, and your done!

Item #122845 Hello, Doily $17.95

Check out the new Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  This plate rests on top of your Simply Scored.  These are must have tools for me.  They make it super easy to fold cards, make boxes, and the diagonal plate makes it super easy to make coordinating enevelopes.  Check out this video from Stampin' Up.  As always you can contact me or purchase these great items at my website on the right, just click on the catalog.  Thanks!

Birthday Card

I am always needing another birthday card, so it seems that this is mostly what I design.  I like to keep it simple since I am usually very short on time!

This is a very simple card to make.  All you need is some designer series paper, some matching card stock, the postage stamp punch and your favorite birthday sentiment.  Easy, simple, and cute.  My favorite kind of card!

Is it too late to post this?

Wow! I can't believe how long it has been since I sat down and actually wrote a new post. I've still been making cards though! I thought that I would go ahead and show you a few of my Christmas and Valentine's cards. I get inspiration from all kinds of cards, so I hope you enjoy these even if it is well past these holidays!

Christmas

I got the inspiration for this card from Deesigns by Nina Dee.  I attached the pearls directly to the card.

Valentine's

This is made the same way as the ornaments, but this time with rhinestones.

Yes, this is a card to look like the outside of an envelope!  I cased this from an enevelope pictured in Stampin' Success, a magazine with lots of inspiration for demos only.

I've just recently passed my 1 year anniversary with Stampin' Up!  I am mostly a hobby stamper, but I really love the products and would love to share them with you.  Please contact me at laurasstampingspot at gmail for more information.

I will also custom design handmade invitations for your wedding, shower, or next party of any type.  Contact me for details!
